Why do sellers on amazon sometimes cancel my order?
Have you bought something or found a deal that was too good to be true, and then after getting that deal you later get an email saying something like this....
We're writing to inform you that your order has been canceled. We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. In most cases, you pay for items when we ship them to you, so you won't be charged for items that are canceled.
Well sometimes what happens is there is a glitch in the system. A few things can happen.
The seller can risk messing up their metrics by canceling all of the orders, and risk the chances of bad reviews.
The seller can take the hit.
Losing a few dollars usually the seller will take the hit.
If losing a few hundred dollars, well in that case the seller will probably cancel all of the orders.
Too many of these can result in the seller getting kicked from the amazon sellers program. Its not good to have these, so be sure if you are a seller you don't make this mistake.
Why are some things super discounted and some things are FREE?
Well a number of reasons.
Discounted
Sometimes the sellers give amazon affiliates coupon codes in hopes to get high sales and good reviews to boost their amazon store for future sales.
FREE
This could be the same reason as above.
Glitch in the system
too many coupon codes went out and were found by other affiliates in turn making the item free.
Sometimes its over stock and companies want their metrics to go up so giving away their overstock really helps them
Some companies want affiliates to get their name out there, so they give away a certain number for free to draw attention to their store.
What can I do if this happens?
Well honestly nothing. You can leave a bad review if you would like. But that is about it.
Will I still be charged for the item if it was canceled?
No.
I left feedback to the seller but I don't see it
It usually takes a few days to appear.
