The Power of Consistency: Understanding Social Media
The world of social media is an ocean of opportunities. For some, these platforms are a virtual hangout spot with friends, while, for others, it's marketplace.
To illustrate: my family isn't really into the social media game. What I mean by this is that they primarily use these platforms to stay in touch with loved ones, which is fantastic! I, too, have a personal account for these close-knit interactions. But I also run what I affectionately call my "power house" – my brand, known to you all as "FloridaBossBabe" or the abbreviated "FlBossBabe". My personal account reflects what many see as "the norm", while my business profile is a mixture of posts, blog entries, motivational quotes, and merchandise from my various enterprises.
This leads me to an essential piece of advice for anyone starting a business or trying to make a sale on social media:
"strangers are often more likely to purchase and show loyalty than friends and family". So, spare your family the spam!
If you belong to the latter category, then you know that merely being present on social media doesn't guarantee a steady stream of income. It's the art of consistency that can turn your social media platforms into profitable business tools.

Consistency: The Pillar of Social Media Success
In the realm of social media monetization, consistency is not an option, but a necessity. It's not just about churning out content; it's about regularly feeding your audience with quality content that aligns with your brand identity. Consistent posting boosts your visibility, aids in audience retention, and improves your chances of making a mark in your followers' feeds.
Remember, the algorithm appreciates consistency!
Staying consistent presents your brand as reliable and trustworthy in front of your audience. It creates a brand rhythm and a sense of expectation among your followers. They know when to find you and what to expect from you.
The worst thing you can do, is post a bunch for a few days, fall off and then come back and do it again. All that does, is shows the algorithms that you are not serious and not consistent.
If you know you can only post 3-5 times a week, then do that! As long as you are consistent.
Making Money with Social Media: The Consistency Factor
Now, how can consistency help in making money with social media? For starters, regular posting keeps you on top of your followers' minds, which increases the likelihood of making sales. If you're selling a product or service, a steady stream of relevant posts can persuade your audience to buy what you're offering.
During my marketing studies, I learned a fascinating fact: on average, it takes seven instances! What does this mean? It means that a person generally needs to be exposed to a message seven times, either by seeing or hearing it, before they decide to take any action.
Therefore , a solid posting schedule can attract more customers.
More exposure can create sponsorship opportunities. Brands are more likely to collaborate with social media influencers who are consistent, as it ensures them maximum visibility. You can also use this consistency to drive traffic to your monetized blog or YouTube channel, creating an additional source of income.
Tools to Aid Consistency
Now, maintaining consistency might seem like a daunting task. But don't worry! There are tools like Canva, which can assist you in creating stunning visuals without any prior design experience. This online resource comes with a host of templates that help you create beautiful content effortlessly.
Planning and scheduling your posts for peak engagement times can also help in maintaining consistency. You could use social media management tools like planable or Hootsuite to schedule your posts in advance. This way, even when you're not online, your social media account stays active and engaged.
Also Facebook has their own scheduling tool now as well. All you have to do is create your post and schedule it. I often times feel this is way easier for my Facebook posts in my opinion.
I do however personally use Canva content planner for my instagram posts.
I love how they give you national holidays as well so you never forget.
Wrapping Up
The road to making money with social media requires a solid plan, quality content, an understanding of your audience, and above all, consistency.
The power of being consistent on social media can't be overstated. Whether it's about enhancing your brand visibility, building a loyal audience, or appearing more frequently in followers' feeds, the rule is simple — stay consistent!
In the end, remember the famous saying, "Rome wasn't built in a day." It takes time to build a profitable social media presence. But with a little patience, and some creativity, and consistency, success is guaranteed.
Don't give up! Go inspire someone!
I used to think no one cared about what I posted. I would post and post and nothing happened. But I continued and one day, someone wrote me and told me how much I have helped them. They never comment or like, they just read and stalk my page. They told me when I didn't post, they constantly refreshing the screen. That's when I realized that "likes" and "comments" and "shares" don't matter. They definitely help boost your posts. But at the end of the day the relationships you build with your followers is worth it!
This is amazing! Thank you
