LH surge, when did I ovulate, when do I Baby dance

LH Surge, When do I baby dance, TTC Journey
LH Surge, When do I baby dance, TTC Journey
I just had my LH surge (Peak) on my ovulation test, now what?
  • When do I baby dance?

  • What's the most effective?

  • Did I baby dance on the right day?

These are all questions that played through my head over and over.

As we all know when it comes to timing your LH surge, timing is everything. To accurately identify your LH surge, it is important to monitor your body’s hormonal changes throughout your menstrual cycle. This can be done by tracking your basal body temperature and cervical mucus changes, or with an ovulation predictor kit.

If you have just had your LH surge, it's time to baby dance! Baby dancing is the act of having intercourse or using a sperm friendly lubricant (only if you have too) to increase the chances of conception.

The timing for baby dancing is important; most doctors will tell you that it's best to baby dance the day before, the day of, and the day after your LH surge. Some doctors will tell you to baby dance every other day.

My personal way that made me feel more comfortable was BD the day before, the day of and the day after.

This is because the egg is released from the ovary 12-48 hours after the LH surge, so having sex during this time gives sperm a better chance of reaching the egg.

It's also important to note that the sperm can survive in the uterus for up to 5 days, so you may want to baby dance a few days before and after your LH surge as well.

The most fertile window is the time around when your LH surge occurs. By having sex at this time, the sperm will be present at the same time as the egg when ovulation occurs. This increases the chances of fertilization and a successful pregnancy.

Also don't forget to also track your basal body temperature. (I forgot and was terrible round 2) This will give you the best chance of fertilizing the egg and increasing your chances of conceiving. Good luck
